It takes a team to produce a high quality comic book and Jack Kirby is the star of this team. Yes, the man needed an editor, but there was always Stan Lee, and probably et.al standing nearby. Kirby maintained his action packed art from issue 1 through 104. Maybe all the work is not as intense as #21 and 48-50, but volume 9 of the Marvel Masterworks represents another "marvelous" Kirby opus. Guest appearances by Dr. Doom, the Inhumans, the misunderstood Mole Man, and a bunch of really goofy gangsters. ... Read More
