Editorial Review:

Product Description:
"In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil's might beware my power... Green Lantern's light!"

This unforgettable mantra is spoken by all the brave heroes who have inherited the mantle of Green Lantern and use their power ring and will- power to fight the forces of evil. This volume of GREATEST STORIES EVER TOLD shines the spotlight on all the Green Lanterns who have defended Earth from villainy including the original ring-slinger Alan Scott, test pilot Hal Jordan, architect John Stewart, and artist Kyle Rayner.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - A myopic collection
I finished reading GREEN LANTERN: THE GREATEST STORIES EVER TOLD with annoyance, as it focused only on Hal Jordan, the Silver Age Green Lantern. Then I read the review by "The Original Guardian" and was surprised to learn that last minute story changes prevented the inclusion of stories featuring the Golden Age GL, Alan Scott. Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Contents different from what DC advertised
If you are expecting this book to include either All-American Comics #89 (September 1947) "The Harlequin" or Superman #257 (October 1972) "The Greatest Green Lantern of All!", then you will be disappointed. DC pulled these stories at the last minute and substituted Green Lantern #74 (January 1970) "Lost In Space". That doesn't detract from my review rating; I'm surprised word of this change didn't hit the grapevine sooner.
