This book collects Green Lantern Corps #27-32. The first two chapters (with art by guest pencilist: Luke Ross) collect a story called "Eye of the Beholder". While Guy Gardner works to open "The Big W" (a throw back to his old Warriors bar) the new corps recruits are showered with the eyes of their loved ones. The intent seemingly being to intimidate new recruits. It works too. Our heroes set out to solve the crime and avenge the fallen Corps families.

Then, tension is building between the Guardians of the Universe and the Zamarons. A type of arms race seems to be beginning. The Guardians make a very rare diplomatic call on the Zamarons and the result changes the way the Corps does business. A new law is added to the book of Oa and not everyone is happy about it. The proper "Sins of the Star Sapphire!" arc is penciled by Patrick Gleason.

Peter Tomasi is a recent favorite of mine. He doesn't disappoint here either. His run so far on GLC has been exciting and imaginative, and this is no exception. As the Lantern books dive toward "Blackest Night" I hope this is an indication of how cool the event will be.
